Connecting coding,
research, and education.

Founded in 2024, White Coats Write Code LLC brings coding education to graduate and undergraduate students. We help learners take the first steps toward using code as a practical tool for understanding data and communicating ideas.
Both Matt and Ryan have been involved in meaningful and productive research projects because of their backgrounds in programming and Data Science. They founded White Coats Write Code with the hope of sharing this skillset and these opportunities with their colleagues.

MEET THE FOUNDERS

Matt Muellner

COFOUNDER

Matt Muellner

Matt is a fourth-year medical student at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He graduated from Yale University in 2023, where he studied computer science and neuroscience.

His background includes machine learning, quantitative imaging, and statistical analysis. His research has focused on automated medical image segmentation, radiomics, and clinical outcomes.

Matt is applying to internal medicine residency and plans to pursue fellowship training in hematology and oncology.

Ryan Chapman

COFOUNDER

Ryan Chapman

Ryan is a fourth-year medical student at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2022, with a degree in Bioinformatics.

His background includes next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis and the development of automated genomic classification and assembly pipelines. His current research interests include molecular diagnostic technology and data-driven clinical decision-making.

Ryan is applying to internal medicine residency, with clinical and research interests in infectious diseases, critical care, and cardiology.
